Dr Ian Tait MBBS(Hons)
Dr Ian Tait graduated from the University of NSW MBBS (Hons) NSW. He established the Ulladulla Medical Clinic in 1981. Since the early ’80s he has worked in both General Practice and at the Milton-Ulladulla Hospital in anaesthetics and in accident and emergency. Dr Tait has an interest in skin cancer and performs minor surgery on Thursday afternoons. Dr Tait is a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Wollongong Medical School and supervises Medical Registrars at the practice.
Dr Paul Rothe MBBS, MRCP
Dr Paul Rothe joined the practice in 1994. Since moving to the area, he has worked in both GP and at the local hospital on the accident and emergency and anaesthetics rosters. Currently Dr Rothe is the Head of Department and In Patient Care at the Milton Ulladulla Hospital. Dr Rothe is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Wollongong Medical School. His special interests are gastroenterology and emergency medicine.
Dr Matthew Allan B.Pharm, MBBS, FRACGP, DCH
Dr Matthew Allan is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of GPs. He worked as a community and hospital pharmacist before completing a Graduate Medical Degree at the University of Wollongong. Matthew began his medical career as a junior doctor at Westmead Hospital in Sydney completing terms in: medicine, surgery, obstetrics and women’s health, and emergency medicine. Rural General Practice has always been his passion. Matthew has completed a Diploma of Child Health (DCH) through the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Dr Alla Smoliar MBBS, FRACGP, DRANZCOG, CWH
Dr Alla Smoliar returned to the Ulladulla Medical Clinic in 2017 after spending two years at the clinic as part of her GP training in 2013. Dr Smoliar has a special interest in women’s and children’s health and holds a Diploma in Child Health (DCH), and a Diploma in in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Dip Obs). Dr Smoliar trained in Emergency medicine, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Wagga Wagga, as well as working as a GP locum all over Australia before deciding to make Ulladulla her permanent home.
Dr David Wall BSc, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr David Wall is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has been living and working in the Milton-Ulladulla region since 2015. Dr Wall consults Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. He has admitting rights at the Milton Ulladulla Hospital where he also works in the Emergency Department. David enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in paediatrics and skin cancer medicine.
Dr Francesco Rossi MBBS, Dip OHSM
Dr Francesco Rossi has been working in the practice since 2006. He has over 30 years experience in general practice, including several years experience in sports and occupational medicine. His special interests are preventative medicine and patient education.
Dr David Charles MBBS
Dr Charles joined the Ulladulla Medical Clinic in 1989. Prior to this he worked at Concord Hospital and later as a Partner in a General Practice in Sydney. Since moving to the South Coast he worked in both General Practice and, until 2012, at the local hospital in accident and emergency and anaesthetics. Dr Charles has a special interest in diabetes and skin cancer. He consults on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Dr Rose Sacca BSc(Hons), MPH, MBBS(Hons), DCH
Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc (Hons)) Diploma in Child Health (DCH) Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) (MBBS(Hons)) Masters of Public Health (MPH). Rose is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has been living and working in the Milton -Ulladulla region since 2017. After completing residency in Wollongong, Dr Sacca has worked across multiple locations in rural and remote Australia. Her interests included: paediatrics, public health and science based medicine.
Dr Wan Yi Ng B.Bus(Hons), MBBS(Hons), DCH, PhD, FRACGP
Dr Wan Yi Ng graduated from University of Sydney with honours in 2005. She then completed her PhD research in ocular genetics in 2014 followed by her Fellowship with RACGP in 2016. Dr Ng’s interest is in general medicine and child health. Her passion is in environmental and nutritional medicine where she works in a wholistic and integrative manner to improve the health and wellbeing of her patients, young, old and in between.
Dr Jessica Chua MBBS(Hons), BSc(Physio)
Dr Yen-Yi Jessica Chua holds a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) (BSc. (Physio)) from Curtin University, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) (MBBS(Hons)) from The University of Sydney Dr Chua graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 and has trained at Liverpool, Nepean, Hornsby and Wollongong Hospitals, mainly in Anaesthetics, Intensive Care and Orthopaedics. She has also volunteered with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) from 2016 to 2018, serving mainly in Middle East conflict zones. Dr Chua also works at the Milton Ulladulla Hospital Emergency.
